Having performed in the city of Norwich several times before, the indie band, Coasts returned on their most recent run of shows, ‘A Rush of Blood Tour 2014’ to perform at the Norwich Arts Centre with support from Secret from Richard and Box of Light.
Both of the support acts put on strong performances, introducing the crowd to what was a brilliant night out. However, everybody was there to see the headliners Coasts and their set consisting of their most well-known hits and their new single, to which their tour was named after, ‘A Rush of Blood’.
As the band made their way to the stage, the lights dimmed, and the crowd roared. The venue was now packed full as everyone was prepared for the band they came to see. The band hit off their set, filling the venue with their high-energy guitar riffs and liveliness portrayed on stage. They had the whole audience singing along and dancing together, creating a friendly and happy vibe throughout. The highlight of the evening was the bands performance of ‘Oceans’, where both the group themselves and the crowd were captured in the moment of music. Looking around the room, everyone was dancing and enjoying what a fantastic and incredibly catchy song it is. Finishing their set, it was clear that the crowd wanted the gig to continue through the night and were not yet finished partying. The band left the stage, and again the lights dimmed as the crowd chanted for an encore. The chants bounced off the rooms walls as the band quickly reorganised themselves and re-entered the stage to what was an unexpected encore. Performing several more songs, the crowd and band enjoyed what really was the end of the gig, dancing and singing their hearts out. To finish the evening off, it was lovely to see the Coasts meeting their fans, signing merchandise and having photos, showing their appreciation for the support of those who had followed their continued journey in the industry. Coasts provided a perfect night out full of dancing, singing and general socialising.
If unsure whether to see them on tour, I would highly recommend getting yourself a ticket and enjoying a brilliant night out with some friends!
